I don't know about the best HRM- but I have a polar FT4 that I just got 2 weeks ago and I love it! I looked through other suggestions here before choosing that one.0

I have the Polar FT40. I would recommend checking out Polar's website. That will give you a better idea of what you might like/need.0

I have the Polar FT40F. Worth every penny of the $110 I spend on it (through amazon). It tracks weekly calorie burns and by the workout. It breaks down my calories burned as fitness and fat zones. I can watch my heart rate or my calories burnt during my workout too. I absolutely love it. Only drawback I've found as the chest strap is absolutely miserable under my regular bras. It pushes the under-wires away from my body making it really uncomfortable.0

I have the Polar FT7 that I love! You can't go wrong with any Polar I don't think.0

I've got a Polar FT60 - but more of the plain, black, men's version... I absolutely LOVE it ! ! I think you would be pleased with any of the Polar HRMs - they seem to be dependable, accurate, and easy to use...0

I have a New Balance N4. Around $70 at Target & online, but can be found for less if you shop around. Works great, easy to use, I love it. I got mine on eBay (brand new in the box) for $26.
Check out the customer reviews on Amazon for various models - lots of good info there.0 -
