Hi, I just started again on MFP after having my 3rd child. I also started Zumba which I love! I'm 5'4 and weigh alot more than I should. My goal is to reach 170lbs - 175lbs I'd even be happy at 180 for now. I've been watching what I eat & exercising (zumba) 5 - 6X a week. I already lost 6lbs but gained 1lb back so a total of 5lbs lost. But my main concern is that this week my weight is staying the same. I feel like I'm stuck at a certain weight and It sucks! The weird part is that I still fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans which is size 12. But I weigh alot more! I'm really confused..... Has this happened to anyone else with kids? I'd appreciate any feed back to help keep me motivated. Thanks

I too had been stuck in a rut for quite a while till I finally was introduced to this site. I had counted carbs for six weeks and only lost three pounds which wasn't enough progress for me for the amount of time and effort I had put into it. Since I found this site, I am able to keep my calories and sodium under control along with my exercise and I'm happy to say I've lost 8 lbs in 7 days.0

Wow 8 pounds! Congratulations! That is really good. Well I think that I need to be a bit more patient with my body. I'm glad MFP is working for you so far.0

Yeah, I got up and weighed this morning and hadn't lost any more weight but then I measured and I've lost some inches. So it isn't always in the pounds. As long as it is headed in the right direction, I'm happy with that. This site is so helpful. I'm sharing it with everyone I know. I'm counting calories and sodium. My husband is tracking the fats and cholesterol. This site is making it more than possible for us both and I plan to share this with our doctor as well. I know he will love this.0

Thats funny how weight can fluctuate from day to the next! LOL!0

Mix up your exercise routines a bit. You body does adapt to doing the same exercise over and over and you will stay in the rut! Switch between cardio and strength training. Also mix up your cardio routines!0
