VIRTUAL BOOTCAMP

Those friends who are asking for a new challenge - HERE IT IS!! NEARLY ALL OF YOU ARE CAPABLE OF IT.

It's a 2 week VIRTUAL BOOTCAMP.

Firstly, we need to assess your fitness, and then spend the next 2 weeks trying to improve your abilities, even just by a little bit!

You will be given tasks to do each day, with the idea of the assessment on the final day being an improvement across the board.

2 weeks isn't very long, so you are encouraged to CHEAT! Cheating involves working EXTRA exercises into your day, working harder, working longer and making sure your abilities assessment at the end of the bootcamp is BETTER than day 1.

So who's in?

The first (and last assessment) involves
a) 1.6km (or 1 mile) run or walk, but as fast as you can complete it RIGHT NOW.
b) how many pushups you can do in a minute (from the knees is acceptable if you cannot do them from your toes)
c) how many situps can you do in one minute
d) how long you can hold a plank (from the knees for those who are beginners)

Remember, you are competing against YOURSELF. You need to improve your abilities in just 2 weeks, which means that every day you slack off COUNTS.

GO ...

Okay, so Day One of Bunny's Bootcamp:

1 mile: 11 minutes...and that was pushing until I thought I was gonna die. I'm NOT a fast runner. :-P

Push-ups: 44 I did them from my knees because my form is so much better.

    Sit-ups: 24 I haven't done full sit-ups since high school!

Hold plank: I held high plank for a full 60 seconds.

    1.6km = 22mins Walking on treadmill at 4.5km
Push Ups = 20 in 1 minute. On knees and could improve on form.
Sit Up = 15 in 1 minute. I did what I call full ones. Arms starting behind head each time and with straight legs reaching to toes.
Plank = 9 seconds and i pushed to that.

Maybe these numbers aren't impressive but I'm proud to post them. I am sick (flu type virus???)
and have been for 6 weeks now and so sick of being sick decided to give this ago. Sweating like a pig (do pigs sweat?) hope this helps kick start me into wellness.

Ok so based on my running form pre injury I should be running 10minute miles, so I'll say 10 mins.
Sit ups (elbows to knees) x 33
Push ups from the toes x 30
    Plank 3 minutes
3 x 30 secs on, 30 secs off Russian twists with elevated feet and 2kg medicine ball :)

Day 2: 5km on foot. Walk, run, rollerblade, ski, no bikes!
