Can you all please share your favorite simple snack ideas?
I am in a rut.
And though I love apples, I can only eat so many a day.

Ideas other than fruits and including salty, sweet, etc. would be great!

Thanks!

My fave is hummus. I'll do mini lettuce "burritos" with hummus and maybe some red pepper strips or snow peas and nomnomnom! Or I'll schmear it on light rye crispbread (Wasa brand). I'll also have a hot tea with REAL turbinado sugar whe I want something sweet. Yogurt with ground flax seed too.

I like raw veggies, cottage cheese with fruit or tomatoes, home made trail mix, granola bars, hard boiled eggs. I am sure there is more, but I can't think right now...I am at work:tongue:

Raw veggies are a great snack, I love Edamame (Soy beans in pods), very yummy and a great source of protein!
I also snack on Motts apple Pomegranate snacks, 100 Calorie packs are great (as long as you eat just one  ), hummus and wheat thins or rice crackers, yogurt, laughing cow cheese and veggies or crackers, and I also started making tea pops (popsicles made from brewed tea and honey, umm) I just made Wildberry ones, yummy!

Hope this helps, that's all I can think of for now

I personally like lightly salted rice cakes by Quaker Oats with peanut butter on top! The rice cakes are 30 calories each add a little peanut butter gives you a nice sweet healthy snack. Also they have the rice cakes in chocolate or cinnamon whichever you prefer just check the calories on the package first. Hope this helps!

Salty - Frozen Edamame from the grocery store. Take 1/2 cup and microwave it for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and it's a great high protein salty snack.

Laughing Cow cheese wedges (I like garlic and herb) with multi-grain flat breads.

Sweet: Emerald Dark Chocolate Almonds, Weight Watchers Cookie Dough Icecream Sundae - though not the best choice it beats the real thing and tastes just as decadent. There is no high fructose corn syrup in this treat either. Also, McDonald's has a good ice cream cone (low fat frozen yogurt).

Back when I could eat dairy I had a good weight watchers snack that was two chocolate graham crackers with whip cream in the middle and then you freeze it to make your own "ice-cream sandwich." Delicious!
take a cucumber and cut it into fairly thick slices and then dip in hummus. It has the satisfying crunch of chips and all the water in cucumbers makes ya feel full!
    mmm..i'm hungry

Lately I've been hooked to the Quaker rice cakes. Not the 100 packs... (they have hydrogenated oils)
I love the Honey Nut, Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate Crunch. Mmmm.

    Almonds
    Hummus and Bell Peppers
Cottage Cheese mixed w/ a bit of fruit
    Sugar Free Jello
    WASA CrispyBread
Granola Bar (sometimes I'll take half a Cliff Bar or Larabar to work with me and the other half the next day)

    YUM
    thanks everyone....
I want to compile a list so I don't grab stupid things in between meals.

Today at Aldi's I found that they now have Fit & Active chocolate rice cakes. YUM

Sometimes I have trouble bringing snacks in the house for my 3 year old because I want to snack on them too. But the things I picked up today (Fit and Active line) are good for him and me!

I LOVE your ideas too, everyone!
    Thanks!!!
