My journey so far....

Well I am always finding inspiration in all of the before and afters and I know it will hold me accountable to my goals. I won't post my start weight because it is sad that I let myself get to that point. But, I started this journey in September 2011. I was coaxed into joining a women's Crossfit boot camp with sister in laws thought it was about time I did something about my body. I was tired of being tired and out of shape and unable to buy clothes that were so cute in the store but looked terrible on me.
The first night was not pretty I was so out of shape I could not do the workout, crying and embarrassed, but my coach stuck by me walking me around the laps until I could breathe normal, and said it would get better I wasn't so sure but I knew that I paid for the entire boot camp so there was no backing out now lol. I went back and my workouts were scaled to my abilities 3 nights a week I began to do things I never thought my body could do squats,push-ups,wall balls, body rows and the rowing machine to help improve my cardio since running was so hard for me. Every night my coach encouraged me and pushed me to put the effort into the workout .
At the end of the first boot camp I won one of the prizes for biggest loser in boot camp and I used my winnings to sign up for another round of boot camp which started in January. My fitness abilities have improved a lot and I can do more of the skills without being scaled running is still a struggle I can do the shorter runs 200-400m but the longer ones 600-800m I do still use the rowing machine but when I do I try to finish by the time the first person comes in from the run. I know I still have a long way to go but my first noticeable change was my knees weren't fat anymore lol. I was so excited!!! I have changed my diet quite a bit it is still a work in progress but MFP has helped me keep track of my calories and I am more aware of what I eat for every meal. I have lost 37 pounds and lots of inches.
So here goes the before and during my journey....... to be continued:flowerforyou:
I have to figure out how to post the pics

That is a wonderful post. Good on you for getting out there and getting fit! Much more to come, including the day when you can not only finish the run, but finish AHEAD of other people. It may seem far away now, but you will get there as long as you stay strong and put the effort in!
All the best for the coming months!0 -
Quite an inspiring post! You're doing a very good job! You've got your mind set on a goal and I know you will succeed0

I'm so impressed with you! You chose one of the hardest workouts out there, and stuck with it even when it was really, really difficult in the beginning! Isn't it amazing to see what we can do when we put our minds to it??!! Crossfit scares me still, so I'm sticking with regular boot camp for now, but you are my hero and I will think of your story if I ever decide to take it up a notch!! Way to go with your weight loss, too! Continued good luck to you on your journey to better health!0
