Need some serious help

I just can't seem to get below 146 lbs no matter what I do. I'm beginning to think that I'm on the WRONG TRACK and would like some suggestions.

I've decided now to cut down on carbs, hoping that may help shed some of the weight and up my protein by a lot. However, my calorie intake is still quite low as I try to stick around 1200. I think it just makes me feel like I'll lose weight quicker, but I'm starting to realize that people eating at 1600-2000 seem to be losing faster than me.

Any suggestions? Simple meal ideas that I can use? My wedding is in FIVE weeks. I really want to drop at least another 5 lbs before then. T_T HELP!

I'm 5"6 at 146 lbs. Measurements 34 bust, 27 waist, 35 hips. Thighs are 22 inches, and I'd LOVE to shrink those before the honeymoon if anyone has any special tips for that. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I really hope you get out of this funk soon. My advice is to drink plenty of water everyday, and mix up your food and exercise. For example, if you've been doing the same workouts all the time, try something different, and try and add in a little bit more everyday, like a walk in the evenings.
Maybe think about calorie zig-zagging, it's a technique where your weekly calorie total is the same, but you eat differing amounts to keep the body guessing.
Green tea is great and make sure that you're netting at least 1,200 calories everyday, any lower than that isn't good and won't help with weight loss. Best of luck, you'll be a beautiful bride!

Also, the 30 Day Shred shrunk my thighs and butt insanely after the first 7-10 days! Try that, it's great for that, full of squats and lunges and it made my bottom half so much smaller and more toned (I'd be a little bit on the pear-shaped side so I was very impressed!!). That and walking have made such a difference for me, lots of people have commented.

Have you thought about a personal trainer for the next few weeks, they will push you harder than you do normally yourself and will help you to work on the areas you want to tone up.

Both times I followed this plan, on a weekend at the beginning and then again on the end of the month, I shed at least four pounds and did not gain more than a pound of it back throughout the next week. I was stuck too, that's what led me to it.

When you're down to the last few pounds it takes longer to drop the weight. I'm stuck between 191-200lbs myself. There's a lot of programs out there and it's confusing. Just keep doing what you're doing and it will come off. If you're on a low carb, I recommend a refeed meaning it some pizza or oats once or twice a week.

Try different methods for 2-3 weeks and see what happens.
-Carb up once in a while.

I think that I am going to try low carb >50g 3 days a week, and regular carb 4 days. I will also try the calorie mix up. Thanks guys :)

Can I ask what difference you think the 5lbs will make at your wedding? At your weight I don't think it will make a noticeable difference.

Enjoy your day, continue to eat how you're eating right now. You eat all your exercise calories back which is fantastic. The PT advice is good, doing heavy weights will hopefully get a few inches off.

Once your back from your honey moon I would then look at increasing your calories. Low carb reduces water weight but not much else. The reason I state to wait till after the wedding is that more often than not you get a small increase before starting to lose weight as it takes your body time to adjust.

    Congrats!

I just started level 2 of the 30 day shred. In the first two weeks I lost 2 inches from my waist but didnt lose any weight! I only have been doing 30ds once a day, not even on weekends, and i've been eating better. I look better already. I recommend 30 day shred!!

It's mostly for me. On my big day, I want to be in the low 140's so that I can feel at my best :)

I've done the 30 DS, and have Ripped in 30 now too. I think I'll do the 30 DS again and hopefully lose some inches!

Please don't focus on a number. You've achieved so much and 5lbs will really make little difference on the day.

It's not so much being focused on a number. Believe me, I've never been one to watch the scale that closely. I have measurement charts above my computer xD But in the past 4 or 5 weeks, I have no lost inches nor lbs. So I REALLY want to get it going again sooner than later. I don't want to stay on plateau for another 5 weeks, know what I mean?

But I will take your advice on not increasing my calorie intake just yet :) I don't want to put anything on before the big day. For now, I'll just try the 3 days low carb and 4 days normal. I think I'll also do my ripped in 30 Jillian Michaels workout and maybe focus on toning up.

Get a qualified personal trainer with an understanding of nutrition, they can look at the quality of intake vs output (eating protein/carbs/essential fat vs exercise). But I'd rather carry an extra 5lbs of muscle than 1lb of fat, so you need to understand if it's really weight that is the issue or your composition. You may become heavier, but take up "less" space and look better for it!

They may guide you into adding more quality calories to your intake, and increase/change the intensity of your training (tabata / HIIT works for me). Some days I'll take 2000 calories, other days, if I'm training hard, I'll take 3500 calories! (circuits early, running lunchtime, kickboxing evening)! Don't do fad diets that put you into starvation mode and cannibalise your muscle mass making you lighter.....but fatter....

Listen, it may be you're looking "fine" and it's the stress of the big day making you think you need to drop more "weight". Remember, fitness and weight management are a life style, not a quick fix

I think you'll look great on your wedding day, don't dwell on your weight and enjoy the day, it'll go fast and before you know it, it's gone! Get as many photos from as many angles as possible!

Best of luck with your choices ;)
