I'm SOOOO pissed!! I got a Polar FT4 from Bodytronics. I had an old Oregon Trail i got free using bank points and it worked pretty well except It registered kcals and I had no idea what that meant, and it didn't keep track of workouts, plus all you knowledgable MFPer's RAVED about the Polar products, so I said WTH..

I ordered it on Feb. 20, they were out of stock so they didn't ship till Feb. 27th, The stupid thing stopped working right after 2 weeks!! I tried EVERYTHING!! All the troubleshooting tips etc. It ruined a fair amount of workouts losing signal and 1 day I spent almost 40 minutes in the da*n locker room trying to get it to work!!

Soon as I put it on it registered my RESTING HR @ 282 BPM!! seriously?? Then it would go to 0, when I took it off it was still registering a HR!! Ok so I called Bodytronics today, you need to replace it, I'm out of ideas, they say, ooo your 30 days was up today, It would have had to be back to us today because you ordered it on the 20th!!! I wanted to reach through the phone and strangle her like a chicken!! Are you kidding me!! you didnt even ship the dang thing till almost a week later!!

Moral of this story, ****s may have been 30 bucks more expensive, but I could have walked in the store at the first sign of trouble, tossed it on the counter and got a brand new one, same day... You get what you pay for and watch where you shop at!! O and maybe.. not listen to the MFP er's LOL!!

I think you got a faulty HRM... I would send that sucker back... or find a place that can fix it... because I haven't had that problem with my Polar FT4.

Did you speak to a manager? Contact Polar as it may stand behind its products more than a distributor. This is one reason why I generally will only purchase items on Amazon b/c if the 3rd party refuses to accept the return or deal with the issue, Amazon will. Also, check w/ your credit card company to see if they will refund you and let your credit card company fit with Bodytronics. It is worth a try.
