I have the same problem. I try to suck on a peppermint or chew Extra gum to help me to quit eating. Hopefully some other people will have more suggestions on this.0

When I was going to Weight Watchers they told us to be conscience of when we are eating if we notice that we are stopping to take a deep breath, that usually means you are full. You might try that. I know when I notice that I have to stop and say 'whew" and take a breath, I have usually gone to my limit. I have tried stuffing more in my mouth and can do it but that's when I start feeling miserable.
Good luck

I was at a restaurant with a friend once and I saw her do something strange to her meal. She cut her portion in half at the very beginning. When she finished her portion I saw her pour a butt load of salt on the remains. She then covered the food left over with her napkin to signal to the waiter she was done. After dinner I asked her one on one what in the world she did that for. Her response was that the restaurant always prepares too large of a portion so she cut it down to one serving. Then she made the extra inedible so that no matter how long that plate stayed in front of her she could not eat it. Finally the napkin was a signal to clear the plate to a server. This helps with not wanting to finish the extra salty remains. I though all these ideas to be brilliant.
Another idea is pop a piece of gum in when you’re done. You are still chewing but not food.0 -
i was seeing a neutritionist for a while while contemplationg gastric bypass one of the things i learned was to chew until ur tired we tend to eat too fast and the sensation were full is slow so if you eat slower u get full faster i thought it was a crock to tell u the truth but it worked i ended up losing 35 pounds in a couple months and decided against the bypass .oh and eat with a smaller utensil !! it does work be patient0

This is what I do! It allows my brain and stomach to get in sync with each other and know I'm full. It's not easy though sometimes...like when the coworkers bring in pastries! (I had to pry myself away from looking at them this morning!)0 -
If you keep on top of eating your healthy snacks so that you don't get so hungry, it helps.
As for the co-workers bringing in pastries, my company provides donuts or bagels and cream cheese every friday. My trick for myself is that I just tell everyone that I hate donuts. This way, if I go grab one, everyone will give me a hard time about it - and then it's just not worth it! Plus, if you tell yourself this for long enough, you'll actually start to believe yourself. I'm not even tempted anymore.0 -
Eating 6 mini-meals a day really helps me. It's like I'm eating all day (which I like to do), but I don't eat too much this way.0
