Be very careful to do this sensibly. I went for a more extreme version (4 mile runs 3 times a week and a longer one at the weekend) and just ended up injuring myself. I am NOT saying don't run, just that you have to make sure you get good trainers for it and if your joints start to hurt badly then take it easy for a couple of days.0

OMG I totally tried that. I told myself I would run 1 mile every day for a month. After day 10 my ankles began to hurt SO badly that I physically couldn't run anymore. I have stopped running and it has been 2 weeks, but my ankles still kill me whenever I try to run or walk fast. Seriously, start off slow. Baby steps. (I hope they heal soon! :sad: )0
