I discovered that I can make a far superior Taziki than any commercial brand just by mixing 0% fat greek yogurt, a clove of fresh garlic, 1/2 chopped dill pickle and some dillweed. Yummy on so many things!

Recently found the herring in paprika sauce...oh so yummy! Better than sardines. I also found Blue Diamond Hazelnut NUT-THINS and they are delicious. You get 16 and for only 130 calories and 115mg of sodium. I eat them plain or with my herring. Oh and they are wheat and gluten free (in the gluten free section)

Broccoli Slaw from trader joe's. It's just shredded broccoli and carrots. I mix it with light mayo and a little lemon juice and put it on my sandwiches instead of lettuce.

i have three recent food discoveries:
    1) multi grain peanut butter cheerios (they talked about it on The Biggest Loser one week and I thought I would give it a try. If your like and love not only the taste of pb but the smell I would say give this cereal a try.

    2) roasted chickpeas - we had these at work a couple of weeks ago and I love them.

    3) 479 popcorn - I've tried two different kinds so far and both are really good. The caramel one reminds me of cracker jacks.
  • I know its not the best, but for fast food..I learned to have a whopper jr no mayo, side garden salad and I use half of the dressing of the light italian or light vinegarette...comes to 360 calories for the whole meals...fills me up since my stomach has now shrunk.

Do you roast your own? If so any specifics in doing it?

Silk Almond Milk unsweetened. Not great by itself, but nice with something sweet and great on cereal. No sugar and only 35 cals/cup.

Tried KIND granola bars...didn't do much for me. Tasted like stale peanut brittle, not the texture I was hoping for. Still love the granola though.

    Some new faves (that are dairy-free, soy-free, & casein-free) I have are

So Delicious Coconut Milk French Vanilla ( or Hazelnut) Coffee Creamer - this stuff is AWESOME! I can finally have coffee again!

Daiya cheese - I found this "cheese" that has no casein in it, and I was surprised to find out it is made only an hour away in Vancouver! It's made from arrowroot and tapioca flour. The pepper jack is awesome! It's meh just out of the package but cooking with it and melting it, it's great.

PB crave peanut butter. Especially the cookie nookie flavor. AMAZING. Sure...natural peanut butter is healthier but pb crave doesn't contain the hydrogenated oils or other bad ingredients and about 5g of sugar. So it's not too bad. ;P

Trader Joes- "just clusters" pecan granola cereal!

Its the first granola I found without "soy oil" or any rolled "wheat" products... Just rolled oats! I love it!

Larabar Fruit and Nut Bars especially Chocolate Chip Cherry Torte and Pineapple upside Down Cake. They satisfy my cravings and aren't binge inducing like candy bars. The Pineapple has 4gms of fiber with only three ingredients: dates, almonds and pineapple
