Weight Loss Challenge at work

 I participated in a 12-week weight loss challenge at work and am happy to report that I lost 4 pounds! It's a small loss but a big victory - especially since 12-week before the challenge began, I yo-yo-ed up to 4 pounds gain. 4 pounds of steady weight loss has got me in the right direction -- both physically and mentally.

The 12-week challenge began 12/28/2011 and ended 3/14/2012. Overeall, for body percentage lost, I came in 5th place. To win first place ($110) I would've had to lose 15.5 pounds.

A second round of another 12-week challenge begins this week: 3/21/2012. I'm shooting for 10 to 16 pounds lost and first place!

What I plan to do differently this time around - use more meal replacement shakes weekly, get a George Foreman to grill lean meats, incorporate home workout videos (in addition to the gym), commit to walking on my lunch reak twice a week, lots of water!

Any advice or motivating quotes? Bring it them my way! :)

I was in a challenge last fall/winter for a few months and they kept telling me I would not win because I was the smallest one in the challenge. Honestly that motivated me a lot I told myself I need to lose weight to feel good and I'm going to prove them wrong. I won the challenge I started at 175 and went down to 163. You can do it just set your mind to it and watch it happen. Good luck
  • Thank you! The challenge began today. 10 to 16 pounds lost, here I come! :)
