Hi all. I've lost about 35lbs since last September. I decided to use March as a maintenance month and let my body adjust for a bit. I've weighed 200lbs since the end of February and haven't gained or lost anything since. That being said, over the past week and a half, I've tightened my belt by 2 loop holes. Although I'm excited this happened, I was a bit confused as to why it did happen since I've stopped losing weight. Any idea why this occurs? Does your body "redistribute" weight? Thanks!

    Fat=O at 200lbs

    Muscle=I at 200lbs

    No your body type normally won't change how it carries fat. However, I was on prednisone for a month awhile ago and gained 35-40 lbs and it was head to toe! I "normally" just get fat in stomach and chest.

    If you're no longer eating at a deficit and have continued with an exercise program, I think you can expect a shift toward a leaner body composition. A month isn't very long for that to happen, though.

    I'm tighter and more firm around the midsection - about a half of a pants size worth - after 6 months of maintenance, even though I do mostly cardio with not much more than a token amount of strength training. It looks like there's a little bit less fat and skin and maybe a little bit more muscle.

    you are building muscle and burning fat. good job!

    I have stayed within the same few pounds for 2 months now and have gotten way stronger and slimmer. My waist has gotten smaller.

    I have continued my exercise program during this period, so what you all say makes sense. Thanks!
