and it works how? straps to your chest? lemme look it up0

a strap and a wrist watch.
At the gym my strap syncs with the machine so MY HR is shown without touching the pads.
And when I had a trainer, she could follow me on her watch....cool because then the beyotch could make me go faster and harder
 :laugh:0

Hi, Pam. I have the Polar F6 too. I love it. It is relatively easy to figure out. It comes with a little booklet that will help you input your stats, i.e. weight, height, etc. As far as figuring out how to do the cool little extra things like creating your OwnZone ( your optimum heart rate zones to cater your workouts as easy, medium, hard), you have to kind of play with it. I've figured all those cool extras out, now I just have to figure out how to log onto the Personal Trainer on the Polar website. To make a long story short, an hrm is very worth it and fun! Good luck!

Polar 6 is the best! I love mine. I can't work out with out it! I do find that if I don't have the chest strap super tight it won't pick up my heart rate. But other than that I love it! You'll be amazed on how many calories you are really burning. For ex: I have been logging my spin class and in the exercise log when I enter it it gives me some crazy number like 600 calories! HOWEVER when I wear my HRM it's right around 400! That's a big difference. On the same note, the exercise log on here way under est. my calories for walks. It was giving me like 150, and with my HRM I'm around 250!0
