Progress Photos - Proof the scale isn't always right.

I have a love - hate relationship with the scale. It has never truly been my friend and that has been especially true since I started this journey in January. It doesn't move much and fluctuates frequently. I was on a trip with some of my closest friends this past weekend and one of them was playing with her camera and asked me to pose for a photo. I did --- which I would normally never do because I hate the camera these days. Right after she snapped I screamed "NOW DELETE IT!" Well, she wouldn't until I at least looked at it and boy am I glad I looked. It was this picture that really helped me realize that the hard work is working and that I really need to leave my love affair with the scale. I hope that the pic shows up.
The purple sweater with black blet (pic on the right) is mid-January
The purple hoodie & black yoga pants (pic on the left) is mid-March

You look great! I have the same issue with the scale. My mom keeps telling me that I'm looking more fit- other people have told me the same thing, too. I don't see it yet, but I'm loving working out as much as I do, so I stick with it. I just hope I can see the difference soon. Scales are evil little things, aren't they?0

You look beautiful!!!!! Keep up the fantastic work. I can see the happiness in your smile.0

you look great! I was like that too, addicted to that number on the scale. People kept telling me inches are better but darnit I wanted to see that faithful number on the scale... As we all can see your hard work is paying off! Congrats to you!0

You look great. I tend to look at the scale alot to .. then I got a tape measure and started measuring my waist and hips and I noticed that I am loosing weight It's just not showing up on the scale.. and that is totally fine with me right now ..:) Awesome job again0

YOu look Awesome GUrl..... :flowerforyou: but I have to laught because this same morning I weighted myself and the scale showed I gained 7lbs in one week, but my mom, brother and daughter admint that my "muffin top" is vanishing and also am feeling great so I'll just go with what my fam says and how I feel rather than what the scale says.... Congrats on your great work....0

WAY TO GO! Pics are definitely more helpful to us and our journey! The scale hurts, right there (pointing at heart) lol. Measurements are key!0

I had to do the same thing. I could feel my clothes getting smaller, but it was like looking in the mirror I still couldn't see it. So one day I have my boyfriend take a pic of me and when I looked at it all I could say was "WOW, I am small". Its a great feeling Keep up the great work b/c you look amazing and your inner beauty is definitely shining through.0

You look amazing! I had the same problem with the scale for a couple of weeks, but I was still losing inches... it's just hard because when dieting the focus is on the "weight loss," and not so much on the fact that their body is becoming more healthy/fit. You are doing a great job, and I wish you the best of luck on the rest of your journey!!0
