Stuck and not losing weight

I have been using this site for about 3 months now. I have lost about 4 pounds but have been stuck for a few weeks now. My daily calorie intake is 1200. I walk 30 minutes on the treadmill almost every day and I do eat my earned excercise calories. I am trying to eat a lot of vegetables and high protein foods. I stay away from sweets and on the rare occasion that I have a dessert, I fit it into my daily calorie allowance. My weight fluctuates within a 2 pound range but I do not seem to be losing and this has been for several weeks now. I am getting frustrated due to being stuck at this current weight. I am still at least 15 pounds from my goal weight. Suggestions?

I understand how you feel! I was stuck too but this recently has worked for me. This is what I suggest:
1. Don't eat your earned exercised calories.
2. Go faster on the treadmill, do an extra mile, walk/run, go for 45-60 minutes instead of 30 minutes.
3. Only eat 1200 calories/day.
4. Eat in the following way to keep your metabolism going: 250 calories/breakfast, 400 calories/lunch, 150 calories/snack (eat between lunch/dinner), 400 calories/dinner.
I tried suggestion #4, and I lost 7lbs in one week. Also, don't eat processed foods: no diet coke/sodas, no 100 calorie packs. Basically eat fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc. I'm vegan, so if you need any recipes, I have excellent recommendations.0 -

No no no no.....
OP, with 15 pounds left to lose, reset your goals: You should be set at "Lose 1/2 pound per week." You must eat your exercise calories when you are that close to Goal.
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.

I was just about to post about this. I'm so frustrated. Granted, I've been off the site for a week, but I've stuck to my exercise and calories. I lost 10 pounds back in October when I started. Then January came, and no weight loss. I work out almost every day and am sticking to my limits. Plus, I gave up sweets for Lent, so I'm not even having all that much sugar.
I read on another board that maybe we're supposed to eat some of our earned calories? I haven't been. I'm not sure what to do, but I'm so unhappy with how I look and feel right now.0 -
I'm going through the same thing. I've lost 40 pounds since July. Initially the weight fell off but now I can't seem to lose. In fact, I've gained around 5 pounds. I'm 10 pounds away from my initial goal and i['m hoping and praying that I can work through whatever this is It's frustrating, very frustrating. Hopefull it will all work it self out... literally0

Thank you all for your thoughts and ideas. I think I will start by resetting my goals because I haven't adjusted them since I started. I read through some of the posted links, too. Very helpful. Also good to know that other people are dealing with this too and not giving up. I will keep trying. Good luck to all of you, too.0
