I do my regular workout, which is usually a Jillian Michael's video. I just pop an ibu profen or midol before0

I at least make sure to shower and change panties after working out on it.
Are you saying that you don't make a point to do these things after working out during the rest of the month??
Lol, that's the same thing i thought0 -

Sex...with yourself or a partner, either works
Draw a chalk outline around the body with whipped cream, then it would look like a sundae!0 -
Good morning!
I find that only the first day of my TOM is difficult to workout during. It's when I have the most discomfort, pain, etc. Ironically, a cardio workout is usually a godsend. It stretches my achy muscles, helps minimize cramps, and elevants my mood. (I'm an enormous crankmonster on my first day, haha.)
I start out walking slowly and then increase to a steady run. I tend to switch between running/walking so my muscles have a chance to relax in between. When I'm done, I take a nice warm bath. You feel like a million bucks, girl! After the first day, it's business as usual.0 -

I think my **** just moved.0 -
Oh for gawds sake...ladies you will deal with TOM monthly for 40+ years. Just get up and do something...that's too much of our lives for us to just stop everything. Exercise is good for us..at any time of the month.
As for sex...if you're comfortable..Do it! If you're not..Don't0 -

Why do women act like they can't work out during their periods?? I always work out -- days i have my period are just regular days. In fact, I used to have reallly bad cramps, and 7 day periods. But since I've made my lifestyle change over a year ago, my periods are only about 4 days - with much less cramps. I do all my normal work outs during my period.
Actually for some women with really heavy flow, they do need to pay attention to what workouts they do during the TOM, particularly those who tend to get light-headed during this time. Some women do tend to become anemic from TOM and need to pay attention to their bodies particularly when exercising.0 -

Ha ha!
That really was a good book, though.0 -
I'd agree. I usually don't change a thing. Maybe the day I get it depending on how I'm feeling but otherwise I workout as usual. And if I feel like crap the day I get it then I make that my 'rest' day.0

I'd also have to agree with the shower. You usually don't even see a mess or at least we don't. Works perfectly.0

I love seeing a thread about this subject that FINALLY doesn't have a bunch of women whining how THEIR time of month is so much worse than anyone else....very cool.
Like most of you, I pop some extra ibuprofen, suck it up and hit the gym (and kick the crap out of that monthly visitor!!).0 -

The Red Tent? I love that book.0
