No loss, then daily loss?

I have been sitting around at this weight for some time. Few pounds off, then back on... Bad cycle. Then for lent I gave up sweets and decided to add circuit training to my daily cardio workout. Well up until last week not much of a change.... Bit now I a,m losing almost everyday! I do not want to jinx myself but I can't believe it. I thought maybe my scale was broken but my clothes are feeling better too! I have lost 4 pounds since Friday! How is this possible?
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
I hope I can continue to lose,I am 11 pounds away from my goal weight and only 6 pounds away from where I was at my lowest on MFP (and I felt great at the weigh!)
