I was reading the thread "would you post a half naked pic?". I have been on MFP for 3 weeks, I love it. I am so inspired by people on here, words of encouragement, most of all the success stories. There have been woman in bra/panties, bikini and they look great (after pic). I have taken some before pics of myself in a sports bra and undies (its so unflattering), it motivates me everyday to do as much as I can do for my body. I am hoping that one day I have a success story and I can motivate others as well. I dont want to recieve "hate" mail afterwards because the pic was inapproiate I am struggling over here to lose all 60lbs and when I do I want to show it off and be an inspiration. So what do you post? whats appropriate?. :noway:

I think anything that doesn't violate the "nudity" rules (no nipples, genitalia, etc.) is fine. Obviously some people may not feel comfortable exposing that much but that doesn't give them a right to judge you or anyone else

Totally agree... whatever makes you feel good (as long as you don't show your goodies). lol

I would first take a picture of yourself in a pair of jeans and a t shirt....form fitting...then take the same pic in the same outfit once you reach your goal....Of course posing in something more provocative is always fun, posing in something real and everyday is more of a "reality check"....and hey high heels and jeans ALWAYS look good.

Take the photos for YOU. If you want to share them eventually, share them. Anyone offended by the amount of flesh you'd see on any magazine at the checkout in the grocery store has some issues. That's their problem, not yours.

FWIW, I haven't had any hate mail, and I've posted a lot of bikini photos. I've only gotten positive feedback, with the exception of a couple of comments like, "that's because you never had kids," or "wait til you turn 60." Which I suppose are positive comments in their own way, since they obviously think I look pretty good.

Taking photos in the same outfit can be motivating, but not so much when you're in the final stages. I'm about the same weight as I was since June of last year. I'm wearing the same clothes, and fully dressed, I look about the same. But when I'm in a bikini, you can really see all the hard work I've put in. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/LorinaLynn/view/in-defense-of-bikinis-215624

No I dont wanna show the before pics (lol), but I have a one track mind so I am aiming high on this one. When your in the mirror in your sports bra and undies, and your disgusted you gotta do something. Thanks for responding.

I will do that as well, I am the type of person that dresses according to my size, so I always look nice and descent (no muffin top/quadruple boobs). But I do get what your saying, thanks so much

Ugh, THANK YOU for knowing quad-boob. I seriously just had to convince my mom that it was a -thing- & that it's not cute.

quad boob is serious, in need of a new bra and better shirt. Some ppl cant dress big or small. P.S. love the red hair.
