Hello all! I was wondering if anyone else is struggling with their last 5 pounds? It seems that my body can't seem to shake it off and when I get close, the next week it's back. I'm getting frustrated and don't want to give up! Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Hi there! Just looked for a how to lose those last 5 pounds and several posts resonated with me! I have been "there" for months, too!

I see that someone said the question is: what am I willing to give up in order to lose them? I suspect this is a key question for me!

I wonder what would happen if i started to think of my "last" 5 pounds as my "first" 5 pounds? It took a lot of daily dedication to MY Fitness Pal recording to get me going on my weight loss program many months ago -- an effort I have not thought about for a while. Perhaps to lose these last 5 pounds it will take an even bigger effort. Here is why I think it might take a bigger effort: I look "good enough" now! I can "get by" looking like I look now, especially with clothes on! I no longer look "fat". So it is easy for me to say to myself that I don't need to lose those last 5 pounds! But I actually do. So I am curious to find out what will happen if I regard them as my first 5, and work on losing them with the same dedication and zeal I applied to my first 5? I have a feeling I have hit on the trick -- for me, anyhow.

So I will write all my food/calories down again on My Fitness Pal, just like i did for the months it took me to lose 15 pounds! I have been very good all the way along at writing down my exercise. I have decided to do 1/2 hour of aerobic activity on the days I don't go to the gym for my workout, and have decided to work hard to do the gym workout every other day, rather than just 3x a week. I am going to be especially careful to actually measure again my portion sizes. Writing it all down again every day is the answer to that! Thanks for all the postings which do help!
