What beer would go good with say..... rocky road ice cream? I'm trying to plan my Friday night......any thoughts.

    I would suggest a darker brew. I think it goes better with the sugar.

    How about a beer float?! They are surprisingly really good. I'd go with a dark beer maybe a Chocolate Stout and Vanilla ice cream yummmm!

    500ml Guiness: 176 calories

    I scoop Rocky Road ice cream: 290 calories

    Total for a good sized Guiness float: 466 calories.

    Not Bad!!!

    Murphy's Irish Stout would be a good option. It's very Guiness-like, but has a stronger coffee flavor!

    ^^ pretty sure OP will not say you're cheap....

    I think you should stick with the captain & coke, add ice cream and blend for a smoothie experience - hell even add some Whey powder and you got your protein....

    i was going to say the same thing!! back in my drinking days we used to put guiness over hagan daz vanilla.. so delicious!

    I like bite when I mix these...Argonaut, Guiness or Rogue always do well.
