Can you post how you make yours so I can get some ideas. After two weeks of just powder and milk I can tell I'm going to need some choices....

PLUS***If you've made a batch and then froze for half day/day please let me know if that worked. I'm wanting to make them the night before if possible!

Thanks!

I LOVE protein shakes!!! My favorite right now is:

    1 c. almond milk
    1 scoop chocolate protein powder
    1/2 c. frozen dark cherries
    1 tbsp. creamy peanut butter

Blend and go to heaven!! LOL...it is about 320 calories though!

    I also fancy:

    Half of a banana
    1/4 c. frozen blueberries
    1/4 c. strawberries
    1 scoop vanilla protein power
    1 c. almond milk

    MMMMmmmmm :)
  • Instead of peanut butter, I use peanut flour which greatly reduces the calories and still has the same rich "peanutty" taste. Not sure if Trader Joe's carries it anymore, but I think you can also find it at Whole Foods or just Google online. It has about 28 calories per tablespoon. Tastes great in the following:

    1 C Almond Milk
1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I use EAS brand)
    1/2 frozen banana
    1 T peanut flour

    Really yummy!
  • I make a low calorie version that I love right after a workout.

1 heaping Tablespoon brown rice protein (I use nutribiotic brand)
1 Cup Silk Almond milk (unsweetened)
1/4 Cup raspberries or blueberries or any fruit
    1 packet truvia sweetener

    120 calories a serving...just enough for a light snack

In blender with 4 ice cubes:

Herbalife Personalized Protein Powder- 2 tbsp
Herbalife Wild Berry Formula 1- 2 scoops
    Frozen Strawberries- 1 cup
    Frozen Blueberries- 1/2 cup
    Small banana
    Orange juice- 4 oz
    Organic yogurt- 2-4 oz

I usually drink all this in 2 servings but one big shake is awesome too.

Just one of many awesome protein shake/smoothies I make.

    :D

made this the other day if you like mint it tastes delicious
1 scoop vanilla whey protien ( chocolate would work too)
3/4 cup almond milk or milk
    1/2 frozen banana
    handful spinach
a drop peppermint flavouring or peppermint oil ( don't put in too much or will be over powering)

blend all ingredients together in blender and enjoy :)

in New Rules of Lifting for Women there is a recipe where you just add the same flavour of slimfast to your protein powder. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like a great idea for getting some carbs in too after the gym.

1/2 cup of vanilla soy milk
    1 cup of frozen berries.
About 1/4cup of vanilla whey protein powder ( I am not sure if that's accurate, I use the little cuppy thing that comes w/ it)
