Protein Shake Recipes
Can you post how you make yours so I can get some ideas. After two weeks of just powder and milk I can tell I'm going to need some choices....
PLUS***If you've made a batch and then froze for half day/day please let me know if that worked. I'm wanting to make them the night before if possible!
Thanks!

I LOVE protein shakes!!! My favorite right now is:
1 c. almond milk
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/2 c. frozen dark cherries
1 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
Blend and go to heaven!! LOL...it is about 320 calories though!
I also fancy:
Half of a banana
1/4 c. frozen blueberries
1/4 c. strawberries
1 scoop vanilla protein power
1 c. almond milk
MMMMmmmmm0 -
Instead of peanut butter, I use peanut flour which greatly reduces the calories and still has the same rich "peanutty" taste. Not sure if Trader Joe's carries it anymore, but I think you can also find it at Whole Foods or just Google online. It has about 28 calories per tablespoon. Tastes great in the following:
1 C Almond Milk
1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I use EAS brand)
1/2 frozen banana
1 T peanut flour
Really yummy!0 -
I make a low calorie version that I love right after a workout.
1 heaping Tablespoon brown rice protein (I use nutribiotic brand)
1 Cup Silk Almond milk (unsweetened)
1/4 Cup raspberries or blueberries or any fruit
1 packet truvia sweetener
120 calories a serving...just enough for a light snack0 -

in New Rules of Lifting for Women there is a recipe where you just add the same flavour of slimfast to your protein powder. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like a great idea for getting some carbs in too after the gym.0
