Depression doesn't make anything easy, does it?
Trying to lose weight, but when I don't see immediate results, I get really down and think that being skinny is just an unreachable dream.
Any advice for keeping those thoughts at bay?

I find motivation in making goals that are not weight based. For example, to jog for 20 minutes non stop, to be using 10kg dumbells in some exercises instead of 9kg or to burn more than 4,000 cal per week in exercise.
Using the scales will immediately give you a bad/good day mentality when the scales go up/down, whereas making other goals gives you achievements and things to build on along the way....
Also, exercise is the best thing (i've found) for treating depression. Just a walk around the block can perk my spirits up a little on the gloomiest day.0
