Hi! I am just a girl trying to lose weight in a healthy weigh...I mean way. I live with my parents but they are built differently and work physically harder than I do so their weight isn't as much of a problem for them.

I frequently eat alone. I have always loved steak, roast beef, bacon, salami, pastrami, pepperoni, etc but now my choloesterol is out of control.

Since I'm unemployed with no health insurance and no income, I decided it was time to take drastic action and change my eating habits. So, at least temporarily, I'm giving up red meat until I get my cholesterol back to a controllable number and lose some weight. I'm also eating low fat low cholesterol low sugar foods.

Oh, I'm also a diabetic with high sugar.

I'm also taking several supplements to help with my cholesterol, along with prescribtion medication.

    Welcome!

I still have high cholesterol too. It was very high, but when I started exercising, it dropped like a rock. I still take medication, but now the cholesterol is under control. Diet plays a part in your cholesterol levels, but I believe exercise is the answer. Also, if your triglycerides are high, exercise is the best for that as well. Good luck!
