Tonsillitis and need to keep heart rate under 100 during exe

So how to do it. I'm baffled. I usually am 117-123 heart rate on exercise bike. I am sure squats or even resistance bands would make my heart rate right up. What should I do. I can't go out either to walk or something. Is there no way I can exercise with dripping nose, feverish, sore throat?

Your body needs to rest when you're sick! Wait until you get better and then start exercising again... if you push it too hard, you'll feel worse. A week of no exercise isn't going to hurt your progress, at least it never has for me...0

I tell you what you should do for exercise - NO exercise.
Wait until you are fully recovered before you end up doing yourself more damage.
Seriously, people underestimate the dangers of illnesses, it can be incredibly dangerous and damaging to the heart and all for what? Don't make your illness stretch out or get worse when it could have been completely avoided by resting - it is not for a lifetime, just for a short while.0 -

I agree with the others, no exercise is best in times like this. Your body needs as much rest and down time in order to deal with the tonsillitis and heal from it. Unless the doctor that diagnosed your tonsillitis said light exercise is alright (in which case I would expect them to list said exercises) then don't.0
