What alcohol?

Hello everyone
i'm going to a wedding tonight and am wondering what the best alcohol is to drink, calorie-wise? I know that beer is obviously high in calories, and since spirits don't agree with me, I was thinking white wine spritzer with soda instead of lemonade? Or am I overlooking something really obvious?
Thanks a lot!

I've heard clear alcohol is better, but I am not sure how true that is.0

Half a bottle of red wine is only 250 calories! I think white might be the same. Wine is much lower in carbs than beer as well. I usually stick with wine. I don't care for the hard stuff these days.0

Thanks a lot for that, white wine spritzers it is!0

Vodka + club soda;-)0

1 Rum and diet coke= 64 calories & 0 carbs0

Bud select 55 is almost clear and almost like water.
55 cal 1.9 carb for 12 oz0 -
All alcohol is roughly the same, 100 cals per oz, give or take 50 cals. It doesn't really matter. Just drink and enjoy. What's more difficult at a wedding, is the usually atrocious food that is served.0

White wine spritzer is your best bet then0
-
diet coke + vodka0

Do people read the post? Lol. If you don't do spirits white wine spritzer is probably best! X0

vodka, water with a lime is called a "skinny b*tch" and it's yummy!0

i always drink malibu and pineapple juice! not sure about the calorie count, but i know it is delicious!! :P0

I'd go with red wine. It contains less sugar and is typically a wee bit lower in calories.
I live in Spain and they mix red wine with coke. It's delicious. You could ask for diet coke & have yourself a nice little drink for few calories.... I'm not a fan of coke/diet coke but everything in moderation, right?
I'd also alternate with water between each drink to pace yourself
Enjoy the wedding!0 -
Folks - she said no spirits.
Your spritzer idea sounds like a good one. It'll be between 100-120 per glass of wine (slight variation depending on the type), so if you cut that with soda, you're cutting the calories. You could try red wine too - the calories will be about the same.
Plus - remember you'll probably dance at the wedding too - which will burn calories0 -

I was wondering the same...Seems many people didn't read it.0 -
Either diet coke/rum or diet 7-up/vodka. Both taste great!0

Who records alcohol?0

actually a light beer like Ultra has only 95 cals. A wine spritzer has about 250.0

malibu is 50 cal, capt, morgan is 60 cal per oz, mix with diets pops.0

I spent three years spending most 'occasions' totally sober, or drinking rank, chemical filled Bacardi Breezer, 100 cal bottles, or Martini Extra Dry with diet drinks. In that whole time I lost three stone.
I then realised MFP/CC was the way forward. I now regularly indulge in pints of ale and Guinness, and am on track to lose three stone in a year of being here.
The trick is to incorporate what you ENJOY eating and drinking, into your calorie allowances-exercise calories are your best friends!. It's not as tricky as it' first seems, and it's how losing weight feels like something that just 'happens', instead of something you're slogging your guts out to do x0 -
has anyone tried the skinnygirl premixed drinks? they are FANTASTIC!!! and only 100 calories per glass....sooo yummy, and light tasting, and not too sugary, its pretty much all i drink if i do indulge, unless i REALLY need my caesr mix.
i just bought some bacardi breezer spritzers on an impulse....does anyone know how many calories are in them? i cant seem to find any info, and id love to sip one in my backyard on this nice 20 degree day we are having!0
