Any suggestions would be welcome, I strength train 4 times a week with cardio (mainly running 5-10km) 3 times a week, I eat my recommended calories for the day, excluding any additional calories gained from exercise. However for the last couple of weeks I have not dropped any weight. I have come down in size and built lean muscle but I want to loose weight. Running and riding could be easier if I it still wasn't 89kg.

Any ideas as to how to shock the system would be welcome also because I am not eating my exercise calories would this cause a the body to go into a holding pattern due to not enough food?

They call this 'starvation mode' and while there are many who say it doesn't exist, from experience I will tell you it does!

I don't know your stats, height etc so I don't know your ideal weight or recommended daily calorie intake but your's appears to be set a little low for a bloke, especially given your exercise routine. From my understand you could be eating up to 2500 calories a day. I have come to think that MFP sets the daily calorie fairly low and this can actually hinder weight loss.

If we reduce calorie intake (fuel) too much we risk slowing down our metabolisms....our system will store fuel as fat and resist burning calories efficiently.

I have also read many times that because our bodies are so wonderful at adjusting to whatever we throw at them it can become harder achieve the same weight loss/calorie burn ratio if we don't tweak our exercise routines a little from time to time.

I'm no expert....I have been on this journey for a long while and have learnt a lot about myself along the way. I find now the puzzle pieces are slotting easily together and I feel I have a greater understanding and control over my health and fitness than I ever believed I could.

That is only advised if you factor your exercise into your activity level, which you haven't done. Try to eat back your exercise cals for a couple of weeks.
