Belly and Hip Help Please ?

Hey guys

So I have lost 32 lbs with 24 to go. I am out of all the clothes I have at the moment and I went shopping yesterday to get some 'transition' clothes and I got so frustrated as my thighs and bottom have seen the results of my hard work but those stoopid pants in the next size down were still stuck at my waist - they would close but boy was I spilling out over them ! - Not a good look :(

You would think that losing 32 lbs would allow you to drop a size but in my tummy and hip area no way ! I got quite demotivated yesterday but I got over myself and am staying positive. So I am reaching out for help. I walk/jog 25kms a week and have 24 lbs to lose to hit my goal and it seems that it is my tummy needs the work. But here is the catch , I have to be careful as my poor neck got whiplashed years ago and I now have arthritis in it ( young to have it at 37 I know ) and I need exercise that wont leave me all stiff in the neck and shoulder area.

I NEED to get rid of the belly and hip fat now as the walking and jogging is taking care of everywhere else. I am going to Greece for the summer and need an improved waistline. :(

So all you experts out there any tips would be appreciated. I am dedicated and am willing to try any sensible suggestion. :)

Talk to me MFP Peeps ! :)

The stomach is the hardest to get rid of, it is usually the last place in which noticeable fat loss is seen, 32 pound is a great achievement! but unfortunately, the 24 pounds left to go that you say you have, are probably the pounds in which belly fat would be reduced. I'm 155 pounds, 15% body fat and you still can't see my abs and I look muscular as hell for someone my weight. I won't see them until i reach 135 pounds at 10% body fat. It really sucks, but the more 'fat weight' that you lose, the more your belly will reduce =]

My tummy is the last place to lose fat as well :) Stupid genetics! Your body will decide where it takes it's "energy" from first.....I wish it wasn't so, but it is. Just keep at it and it will shrink! Great job on your weight loss so far!

Thx guys - will try all of the above. And agree with top post - I completely know that the 24lbs is absolutely mostly in my belly but I am determined it is going :)
