Stomach fat

Hey everyone! So I am in need of help. I am eating 1250 calories a day (as determined by a manual BMR calculation) net. I generally eat pretty healthy, with the odd cheat day. My boyfriend said to me today that I've lost most of my weight in my love handles. In fact, I'm noticing it everywhere except that bottom "pooch" ... I still have a bunch of fat on my lower abs. I suspect more cardio is in order... am I eating improperly too? Any ideas where to start? I've been doing mostly bicycle-crunches, supermans, and Ashtanga yoga... although I suspect not enough. Any suggestions?

Cardio rarely gets rid of the pouch at the bottom, you need to start heavy lifting! It is the way to really tone the core and shed the fat. I have only been doing it for 1 month and have already lost 1.25 inches off of the waist and 7lbs!
MFP tried to set me at 1200 cals for 0.5lb weight loss and I said no to that! I have my goal set for 1300 but eat when I am hungry and usually end at about 1600. I am 5'1".
Really heavy lifting is the way to go!!!

Thanks for the advice! I will give heavy lifting a try... I'd been lifting, but very sporadically and probably not heavy enough. I've read in Oxygen that heavy lifting fires up the metabolism... I think I'll up my calories and incorporate heavy lifting into my lifestyle. Sorry about the random diary entries... I am beyond busy, but I know that's not an excuse. Thanks again for the advice!0
