Going grocery shopping tomorrow for the week and was wondering what everyones must-have healthy foods are?!

    vegetables, a lot of vegetables.
    frozen fruit (for smoothies)
    coconut oil
    eggs
    chicken

    Spinach, Quinoa, Eggs, Almond Milk, celery, apples, peanut Butter, beans, coffee :), Greek yogurt, zucchini, kale, triscuits, walnuts, pistachios, oatmeal! :-)

    these are the foods my house always runs out of:

    -apples, grapefruits, bananas
    -rice cakes, plain oatmeal, fiber select cereal
    -lettuce, red peppers, carrots, broccoli
    -canned tuna, turkey and chicken deli meats, eggs
    -peanut butter, almonds, and sunflower seeds
    -salsa, hummus, mustard, and vinegar

    Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
    Salmon, Catfish or Tilapia
    Designer Whey Protein Powder
    Almonds
    And virtually any type of fruits and veggies- apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries, orange, kiwi, pears, broccoli, bok choy, cucumbers, onions, etc

    eggs, whole grain bread, tuna, whole grain rice, talapia, chicken breast, oranges, apples, almonds, protein bars, hummus, salad stuff, string cheese, turkey burgers..
    this usually adds up to 150 dollars somehow... lol

    Agree with most of the yummies here, but I must add 45 Calorie Bread! It is a must for my carb craves! Add a slice of turkey and it is a great lunch for me!

    Strawberries, bananas, mixed frozen berries, apples, oranges. Lots of fruit
    Raw carrots, cauiliflower, broccoli, green beans, avocados, salad stuff, frozen veggies
    Eggs
    Trail mix supplies (roasted soy beans, dried fruits, sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans, walnuts)
    A few healthy frozen dinners for really busy nights.
    Skim milk
    Frozen fruit bars
    45 calorie bread (per slice)
    Lean meat such as eye of round roast, chicken tenders, any kind of fish but none breaded
    Hillshire Farms lower sodium turkey breast
    Greek Yogurt for smoothies (sugar and fat free)

    This makes me feel better! My husband doesn't get how I spend so much. It's expensive to eat healthy!

    I'll just list my more unique favorites: Jennie-O Turkey Bratwurst, sea salt and black pepper pistachios, grapefruit and cottage cheese, Marie's Raspberry Vinegarette Salad dressing, Think Thin Creamy peanut butter protein bar, JIF creamy peanut butter W/ Omega-3, Brussel Sprouts.

    If I meet my daily calorie goal then I get a Starbucks Tall Cafe Americano on the way to work. :smile:

    Just went today (Sunday's grocery shopping day in our house):

    Fresh fruit/veggies/lettuce mixes
    Fresh (not frozen or pre-packaged) boneless, skinless chicken breast
    Mrs. Dash's No Salt seasonings
    Whole or slivered almonds
    Unsweetened almond milk
    Low-cal, high-fiber bars (Special K Chocolately Pretzel or Fiber One Chocolate Peanut Butter are my favorite)
    Margaritaville Chipotle Garlic salsa (it's hard to find, so when I find it I buy a ton) & Baked Tostito Scoops
    Vegetable sushi
  • ground turkey
    salmon
    shrimp
    fish
    zucchini , squash, celery, green/red pepper, cucumbers
    whole grain popcorn, spinach asparagus, string beans, kale , beans

    Whatever fruit is on sale in any given week.
    Sometimes chicken breast.
    Greek yogurt.
    Sweet potatoes.
    Frozen fruit.

    Sharp cheddar.
