Does anyone know the words to this poem??

Options
I need the words to the poem "So Edgar Allan Poe Was in this Car", by Terry Jacobus. It's from the book "The Spoken Word Revolution." I'm entering a Speech and Drama Contest and am filling out the application, and need to know how long the presentation will be. Unfortunately, I don't have the book with me so I can't read it to myself to figure out how long it will take. If you have the book, or could copy and paste the lyrics into a post from another site, that would be great. I would just go to youtube, but unfortunately the computer I'm working on won't allow it. :grumble:

Thanks!
~Nicole

I tried to google it for the words but no luck.

    So, use these instead:

So Edgar Allan Poe Was in this Car
And they were driving to a bar.
The wind was in their hair.
    They were quite the pair!

The bar was not for the straight
but for men who chose to date.
(not that there's anything wrong with it)
    When driver begin to speed
a good brake system was in need.

But hitting a wall with the pedal to the floor
Their lives were never more... never more.

    Da End.

    I like this!
