I recently purchase this book and wondered if any of you have used it and have any experiences or tips to share? I am going to start reading it this weekend and start the workouts the following week. Thanks for any advice!:flowerforyou:

there's an entire forum on MFP for those doing the training in this book. I'm still in stage one and would recommend reading the entire book through first, making sure you have proper form on the exercises and then hit the weights! I'd also do the protein shake after lifting - this has helped me tremendously. good luck!

Thank you for that advice. I am going on a road trip this weekend so I thought that would give me plenty of car time to read/study the book. I'll also make sure to do the protein shakes after lifting. I want to make sure I am doing this the right/healthy way. Thanks again...

You're welcome! I've enjoyed lifting - it's something different for me, I've always been a cardio-nut :) Definitely check out the group forum - lots of great women on there for support.

oh and congrats on losing 15 lbs so far!

Thank you! I'm a bit of a cardio nut too. I like to have an idea of what calories I burn and then know I have some wiggle room if I want to eat more later in the day. However, I have heard so many positive things about lifting that I thought I should give it a go.
