some advice on "The Simple Diet"?

Hi there! So I saw a magazine article about "the Simple Diet" awhile back, and my husband and I both decided to go for it. We are both very busy, and work full time, so this diet seems like a God-send to us. It eliminates the "what ifs" and tells us basically what to eat... very simple indeed. In a nutshell, we are drinking 3 shakes a day (Slimfast, Atkins, or whatevers on sale), eating 1 Lean Cuisine for lunch and another for dinner, and all the veggies we want. Also, a few nights a week, instead of a frozen low-cal meal... we're grilling chicken or baking fish.
So far, we've each lost 4 pounds in our first week, and are super excited about it! My question is this.... I've read on here about watching your sodium intake, and how that can actually inhibit our weight loss. I am sure that the Lean Cuisine's and Healthy Choice meals we've been eating have alot of sodium in them, but other than those, the rest of our daily foods don't really have that much. What do you guys think about that? I want to make sure that we're maximizing our weight-loss efforts, and not sabotaging ourselves with the sodium issue.

As long as you're not going over 2500mg of sodium every day, then you should be fine. I go over 2500mg every once in awhile, but I make sure I exercise a lot so that my sodium doesn't get out of whack with the rest of my diet.0
