Ok so I am on week 4 of Jamie Eason's program and am liking it so far. I have heard so much about NROLFW and so I bought it but what am I missing?? The first stage of workouts only has 5 exercise each workout?? Am I not understanding something correctly? It just doesn't seem like enough. I am really loving the heavy lifting!

  • I skipped stage one of NRLFW bc I have been lifting for years. Start at phase 2. It may look easy on paper but its not! I do the alternating sets as supersets though (dont take any rest between until both exercises are complete) I am about to start phase 4 (take a week off between phases due to work travel) and I am noticing definition in my arms I have been trying to get for years! My boyfriend is loving my bigger, rounder butt and Im loving my abs. Its a great program

I believe the whole idea is that more isn't always better:bigsmile:

Ok thanks, this is what I needed to hear! I may just speed through phase 1.

And I got the more isn't better from the book, but it just seems like almost nothing, you know?

As long as your lifting heavy, sometimes you just don't need many exercises for a muscle group. Some of the best workouts I've had that left me sore for days only consisted of a few exercises.
I've read the book but never followed it exactly since I've been working out a while and just make my own routines and steal ideas from a few different training plans. I agree with one of the above posters though. If you've been lifting a while then just skip the begginner phase.
