BIGGEST LOSER vs. little loser

I have a question.
I have watched Biggest Loser and have been lurking around the message boards, and I have noticed that those that have more to lose seem to lose weight faster.
For example, a female who is 200lbs could lose 2lbs a week for months, while I have horrible trouble doing 1/2lb per week.
I started at 157lbs and have been exercising 25min/3-4x week/1350 cal and have only lost 7lbs since January. I am glad that I have gotten more in shape/healthier and lost 7lbs, but is is frustrating to see people that have lost three times more than you have in the same amount of time.
Is it a ratio/proportion thing?

When you weigh more like I do, you lose it faster because your body burns more calories just to live! Not only that I have to carry all this weight around and the more weight the harder your body has to work... That is how we lose it faster... Eventually once we get closer to our target weights it will slow down just like yours. I hope that helped0

The bigger you are the more calories you burn both in normal everyday activities and in exercise. Once those bigger people get closer to their goal weight they'll start losing much much slower0

I know that these answers are theoretically correct, but I weigh a lot. I started 3 weeks ago at 209. After a week I was 206, since then- nothing. Now I am doing EVERYTHING by the book. I work out for at least 30 minutes 6 times a week, I eat my excercise calories, drink my water, and I am doing strength traing too. That said, I really think this whole weight loss thing depends on your body. Everyone's different. Just because someone weighs a lot doesn't mean they'll have an easier time losing the weight or that it will come off more quickly.0
