Hello All:flowerforyou: ,
I joined this afternoon, and I just wanted to ask a general question. Are there any late Nighters out there? I'm up until around 1-2 am every night mon-fri's. I know my biggest problem is late night eating, after the kids are settled and the house is calm and no one to watch me eat...ugh.
Hugs and Luck,
Kelly

Hey! I'm not usually up that late, but with my job I am now. Until 12-1am.. and I get to sit in front of a vending machine all night bored out of my mind! Nice to meet you and welcome!0

im not a late night person but i am a night time eater. i dont eat a morning snack so that leaves me a snack for after dinner. also if you like chips and dip you can take a lowfat cottage cheese puree it in a blender then add a package of lipton onion soup mix, 1/4 cup is abut 50 cals. and i use fat free pretzels 100 cals for 18 pretzles. that is almos a full cup of pretzels. a great snack. the cottage cheese pureed also works for the fat free ranch dip (hidden valley powder) to use with veggies. and my kids have no idea its not sour cream and its healthy for them. hope this helps0

I am up and down all night, sleep an hour then wake a couple hours then snooze off. What I do is eat the celery sticks, or some raw cauliflower with some light veggie dip. And it seems to help, it takes longer to chew and takes care of the munchies. Just keep healthier snacks around for yourself I also have rice cakes 50 calories each , Carmel corn flavor for the sweet tooth.0

Hello and thank you for the welcome. I'm a stay at home mom again and hubby works nights as a truck driver. That leaves me at night alone with the refrigerater...grrrr. I can tell that is were I'm going to have the worse temptations.

That is my biggest problem i work from 1-9pm,m i wake up at 1000 eat breakfast then walk...by the time i get home from work and unwind i find my self not going to bed until 3 or 4 am....
What i have found to help me out with late night snacks is cucumbers soaked in 50% water and 50% red wine vineger.....0 -
Thanks for all the great advice all. I also came up with my own little thing t do if I get the munchies. If it gets so bad that I really want to go find something, I will turn on the music and start doing a mini 15 minutes workout:) So far, only one...lol. Come 11-12 midnight, I'll be doing workouts non-stop...lol!

i have this same problem! once my kids are in bed and it used to be my hubby in bed (now he works nights) then that was my time. i could watch whatever i wanted on tv eat without sharing with the kids ( parents i'm sure you know how that is!). now that hubby works nights i still feel the need to do that but now it is later because of what time he leaves. plus i feel that i need to munch when i'm watching tv. it used to be worse there are still times when i will think ahead to what show is on and what i want to munch on, sad huh?!:frown: i do think that i have gotten a little better since cutting down though i don't feel that i get as many craving s as i used too!0
