Scared of doing this alone

Hi! I'm Elizabeth and I am competing in a “Biggest Loser” challenge at work. Currently I am in first place for the women. 20 pounds down! This Wednesday is our final weigh-in… I’m scared that once this competition is over I won’t continue to reach my goal (I’m about half way). I really love this competition because it has held me accountable, and, I’m not going to lie, I am kind of competitive. Once this is over I don’t know that I will continue. I really, really want to, but I don’t trust myself to do it alone.

Does anyone have any tips for me?

    Since you love being competitive, I highly recommend to do these monthly challenges that MFP have here. I haven't done one yet, but I'm going to for April and I feel like it will help keep me in line since I love challenges.

    Here's the challenge I joined if you're interested;

    Feel free to add me if you want (:

    Hey there :)

    I'm a newbie on the site too!

    I'll be more than glad to be around to chat to if you need a talk with someone trying to lose weight too!

    I've been using the app for 2 weeks and decided that it'd be better for me to talk to like minded people about weight loss rather than bore all my friends and partner with it :P

    In terms of tips, I find that having a 'scrap book' of sorts with motivational quotes and pictures in it helps me stay on track! Also if I feel like having junk food and I don't have it, just that decision alone is a major motivation for me!

    In terms of my weight loss, I've lost 10lb already and I'm looking to lose a lot more!

    hi
    You are doing great. You don't have to go it alone - there are lots of competative people on MFP. Check out the groups - some of them create challenges. i have also heard some make their diaries public so others can see what they eat. I am not one of them yet, but it is the first time i have really recorded everything i eat and drink. MFP is also the only place i have ever admitted how much i need to lose. I am only four weeks in and really believe that with MFP i can do this. You can too!
  • Join one of the challenges on MFP. I'm starting a 90 day weight loss challenge with my fellow volunteer firefighters in my area. They're alot bigger than I am, so we'll compete based on BMI changes. I'm determined to beat them, I don't care if they're a foot taller, and weigh 100 pounds more than me.
