Toning upper legs and butt??

I am totally new to the idea of toning. What exercises can I do in my home that will help me tone my thighs and butt? I already do a fair bit of cardio- run/walk, situps/pushups. but I need something that focuses on those muscles. Suggestions?

I just found this out, but go to youtube and search butt bible.
I just tried it and omg the burn! 20 mins and its got 3 levels in a system (trying to clarify how the system works atm)
My butt was sore!

Squats, lunges, and deadlifts!0

Might be tough to do at home but HEAVY squats and lunges are key. A lot of women are afraid of bulking when doing heavy weights but realistically you don't have enough testosterone to add significant bulk ie. you won't end up looking like a dude. What you will add is solid muscle and you'll see the effect of that as "tone".0
