I am new to this site but I had gastric sleeve surgery and I am looking for some others that may have had weightloss surgery to be friends with. I feel like I am at a plato and I am trying to make sure I am eatting enough potien as well as calories to continue my weightloss.

    I haven't had surgery, but I have several friends who have. A lot of people think that's the easy way--I know from watching my friends that it isn't! Good for you for taking the next step. I know there can be issues with portions and with certain foods just not sitting well. I have no advice for you, but know that I'm here to cheer you on!

    I am waiting on clearance from my insurnace co right now but will be having gastric bypass in the near future (I HOPE). Congrats on taking a major step on the road to a healthier life!

    I had the lap band surgery in 2006, but was constantly sick and had it removed in 2009. Happy to talk with you about my experiences, if you are interested.

    Hi,

    I am working the approval process for my insurance in order to have the gastric sleeve also. I have to do 6 months of weight loss management and then will hopefully be able to have the surgery in October. Feel free to send a friend request......I'll give you all the support I can!
