Boredom + food = disaster

I have been noticing more and more that when I am bored I want to eat more, even when I am not hungry. I have been drinking tons of water and eating something small every 2 hours but I keep finding myself fighting the urge to eat when I am bored. Not sure what to do besides fight the urges. Any suggestions?

I do the same thing. I have found that if I have something to munch on during those bored times I do better. I pick up something like carrot sticks or dry cereal to sit and eat kinda the way I used to do with potato chips it works for me. It is one of my healthy snacks for the day. At work I take two snacks. I make sure that they are not a one or two bite snack but something that I can kind of graze on. You would be surprised how long or how many different times a day you can eat 1 cup of dry cereal. I measure it out and put it in a ziplock bag and it is in my snack bag. I eat one piece at a time to make them last longer.
