Feet going numb while on elliptical???

I noticed tonight while on the elliptical that my feet are going numb about halfway through, and if I stop and shake them, they stop or wake back up. BUT it happened several times. Is something wrong that I should talk to my doctor about, do I have the wrong shoes, or what?? I have running shoes - New Balance. This is the first time I have noticed it. I did the elliptical for about 45 mins on levels 13 - 15. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Very common.
Make sure to lift up the heel of your foot. It will stop the numbness. Any time you keep the foot flat on the pedals for a long time, that happens.0 -
I have the same problem! After lots of trial and error, I figured out it's because my feet slide forward in my shoes when I'm on the elliptical. This cuts off some of the circulation to the toes, and the toes go numb. I agree with the PP about lifting your heel while you're working. Also, make sure your shoes are tied securely so your feet don't slide around.0

I have this issue. I just make sure I lift my heel a couple times here and there and it stops it from happening.0

I experience this also. When I notice it is coming, I begin standing on my toes. It changes up the work out significantly for my calves and the tingling leaves pretty quickly.0
