What to eat when you are full but haven’t eaten enough for

I am finding that there are days, like today , where I have eaten pretty well throughout the day and find myself very full after dinner. The problem I run into is I have eaten less than 1200 calories which I know means I will wake up at 4 am starving.

What types of foods would you suggest to help bump up the calorie intake that are easy to swallow on a full tummy? (I try to be really mindful of my sugar and salt intake as those are a major reason I have my weight problem)

Diary is open if you would like to take a gander.

Leanfit whey protein shake with 2% milk - will not stuff you, but you definitely won't wake up hungry - just over 200 cals...

Don't force down food you don't want after dinner and therefore don't need.

You can include one or more of the following as calorie-dense snacks throughout the day or an hour or so before bed:

    full fat cottage cheese
    full fat milk
    almonds
    cashew nuts
    apple/celery + peanut butter
    prunes
    banana
    protein powder

(I'd go for ff milk or cottage cheese personally as the others are a bit heavy if before bed)

or add kidney beans or black beans to your dinner. Calorie dense and nutritious.

    okay seriously...

    PEANUT BUTTER. haha :)
    nuts
    seeds
    avocado
cup of WHOLE milk w/protein powder mixed in
    banana spread w/ pb
1 slice bread w/ 2-3 tbsp pb and honey
full fat yogurt w/ maple syrup
    granola w/ milk
smoothie w/ yogurt, milk, 1/2 banana, nutella or pb
  • Thank you for the suggestions! I love peanut butter so that's an excellent place to start!
