Too much protein?

Options
I have been eating 50 g over my allowed protein level but still under on my calorie intake. Is this ok? What can I be doing different? Could this end up being a problem? I can see if I am working out heavily or doing lots of weight lifting. But that is not the case. I don't want the excess protein turn into fat. Any ideas?

It's fine. This site uses the Protein number as a minimum, not maximum.

Stay in your calories and you'll be fine.

Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water. Not staying hydrated while eating excess protein can cause kidney stones. So drink up!

How much protein are you currently eating?
You won't gain fat in a caloric deficit.
Excess protein isn't a problem unless you have kidney issues.

MFP sets protein very low. I upped mine to 105g.

    What is your goal?

I wouldn't go with the flawed cookie-cutter recommendations of MFP. If anything, you have been eating under your protein goal.
