over training/toning

I need some input!

I go to my zumba class once or twice a week in addition to doing Jillian's Body revolution. There sometimes is "toning" in zumba class, where we don't use weights, but we do lunges, squats, and a 7 minute arm song that kills my arm even when I'm not doing other wieght training!

I was slacking off majorly during this "toning" portion because i didn't want to overtrain my muscles after doing Jillian's program, but my zumba instructor told me that I can overtrain if we aren't using weights, is this true?

It doesn't sound right to me, so I wanted to double check with you guys. I really don't want an injury to slow my progress!

any advice would be great! :)

    As long as your form is good and it doesn't hurt your joints, you can't over train simply by doing similar workouts on the same day.

    Now, if you do it every day with no rest ever, then you could eventually overtrain, but that does't sound like what's going on.
