New Here... Need All The Support I Can Get...

Hi everyone. My name is Michelle (nickname Mickey) and I am new to MFP. I have been on here for almost a week and in that time in just following my diet plan as far as calories go have lost almost 5 pounds. Which is great, but I definitely will need support in the coming weeks when the weight doesn't fall off so quickly. Any adds are appreciated.

Hi! I am Heather. That is an awesome job on the weight loss! I try and comment daily and provide support and motivation on a daily basis as I know motivation helps me out a lot. Sending a friend request.

Thanks Heather! I'm pretty excited about the weight loss so far myself. I have not "starved" myself either. I get to my caloric goal (1200 right now) every day and it's (obviously) not through fast food or junk. Amazing what just a change in diet does.

Hello!! and welcome!! :) You'll love MFP -- I do. I have been here for a long time (well since like last june or something. I started my journey on 1/1/11 -- I've lost 109.6lbs since then. and I'm now a gym rat! LOL :) I eat 1600-2000 calories a day on average, and exercise 6-7days a week (strength training 2-3 days a week and cardio min 2-3hours a week)

feel free to add me! :)

    Start weight 303.4 (1/1/11)
    Current weight 193.8 (down 109.6lbs)
    Goal weight 160
    29 y/o (until april 7 - eek!), 5'6''

I am hoping to soon get to the "gym rat" phase myself. I first wanted to start eating healthier and get my body used to that before diving in head first with everything. When I have done that in the past, I have become frustrated because in my mind I kept thinking that the weight should just fall off, and when I would go a few days without any change, I'd quit. I've made up my mind that on April 1st is when I will start a regular exercise routine along with eating healthy and TRY not to be so obsessive about what the numbers say on the scale. It's hard walking past it on my way to the shower to not hop on and see what my weight is.

Hi Michelle! Another Michelle here, I'm in that "the weight is coming off VERY slowly" phase and know how important support is, it's so easy to get discouraged and want to give up!! I'm finding the support here is great and I stay motivated trying to keep up with my MFP friends!! Sending you a friend request!
