So I really dont like FISH but if I make Tuna Fish with Lemon Celery it kinda kills the smell/taste to me... is that a good idea to get some fish in my body?

Fish is really good for you (although ones like Tuna have a high mercury content) so I say if it gets you to eat it and you didn't fry it in the process (which kinda defeats the point of healthy) then go for it.0

Sure, why not. However, limit your weekly tuna consumption due to mercury concerns. Moderation is key!

even Tuna from a can?0

seriously - you don't have to limit your tuna intake that much -- check out this website --

put in your weight and pick your fish. I am 193lbs right now, I'd have to eat over 30 cans of light tuna to a week to be at risk of mercury poisioning. 9.6lbs of salmon to be at risk, 12 cans of albacore tuna week....0 -

lol, I just laughed picturing someone eating 30 cans a week! I love tuna, but that would definitely be a stretch!!0 -
Yep! Tuna is high in omega 3s and protein. I eat a tuna sandwich a couple times a week. I mix one small can with two tablespoons of miracle whip and some sweet relish. I have it on high fiber wheat bread and it is very tasty.0

I don't really like fish either, but I do eat a fair amount of tuna. I've found that I can also eat talapia and it's pretty much just like tuna, even a little less fishy if you ask me. You might give that a try too.0

Yikes! The two websites above completely contradict each other! It's so hard to know what is true and what to avoid believing...0

I like mixing mine with salsa and avocado.
Greek yogourt and mustard (maybe add a little parm)
I love tuna with sprouts!!0 -
Thanks for the idea, Superchik! I absolutely abhor mayo of any kind, but I never considered using greek yogurt! Or salsa and avocado for that matter. I will eagerly try both. I get the strangest looks and most disgusted glares when I put ketchup in my tuna, but to tell you the truth, it isn't bad. It tames the taste of the fish, which I don't mind one bit, but more importantly it adds that little bit of moisture that tuna seems to be lacking. It is just so dry going down by itself...0

I love canned tuna. It brings me the greatest joy.0

Instead of mayo, sometimes I'll drizzle in a little extra-virgin olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon juice with canned tuna.
But I much prefer a fresh tuna steak grilled rare over canned tuna.0 -
TUNNAAAA iss sooooo gooooood....
Try it with sriracha and a bit of greek yogurt on a piece of toast with melted cheese on top....
....I'm makin' myself hungry over here!0 -
Sounds delicious, but what is sriracha?0

instead of using mayo and all that junk to make tuna salad, i just mix in a little bit of light ranch and put it on some bread when i'm in a pinch, it's SO good. sometimes i eat it on triscuits or crackers as well. it's a nice snack! i also mix canned tuna into my eggs in the morning! tuna omelette with a little bit of shredded cheese? so yummy!0

The "howmuchfish" site is sponsored by the Center for Consumer Freedom, which (by it's own description) is supported financially by food companies and restaurants. I'd look at their homepage http://www.consumerfreedom.com/about/ (or you can click through from howmuchfish) before deciding how seriously you want to take their information.
The NRDC is an environmental advocacy group. Their data is from EPA measurements. Unfortunately they don't make clear how many ounces they consider to be in a can of tuna, so it's hard to know how to read it.0 -

It's an Asian hot sauce: http://www.huyfong.com/no_frames/sriracha.htm. I'm partial to Tapatio myself... never tried it with tuna but that's a good idea, actually...0
