Recently came back to MFP and have been eating paleo/primal for nearly a month but I need some new friends. Feel free to add me, even if you aren't paleo/primal. I just need support and am willing to talk to you and/or give you support and cheer you on!

    Yayyy, sending friend requests =)
Thanks for the support group links ... I've been looking for some paleo/primal people on here but couldn't find many.

As far as my experience with paleo/primal, It's awesome! It started out as being paleo on March 3rd but I still have a little whipped cream on my coffee and I'm not opposed to dairy so I guess that makes me primal but I'm used to saying paleo so forgive me. Anyway, Its been fairly easy to switch. My BF & I did it together and that has helped out a lot. It's easier when you have someone right beside you doing the same thing. I actually didn't have ANY carb flu or caffeine withdrawals amazingly because I was eating the worst stuff in the world ALL THE TIME. I've dropped 13lbs. in not even a month. My skin is glowy and I have no acne at all. Energy levels are extremely increased although I'm still working on getting the right amount of sleep. I haven't had any cravings for sweets, carbs, etc. Overall, I just feel awesome & we save so much money now that we don't buy all that junk food and then eat out everyday. So its pretty awesome & I recommend this to everyone. After reading on grains and what it does to you long-term, its horrifying and I truly do not think I could ever eat like I used to again. If anyone is interested in learning more about primal, I highly recommend marksdailyapple.com. Mark Sisson is the primal founder and a genius, at that. Plus, he's 58 and has the body of Bruce Lee, so he is definitely doing something right haha. =)
