C25K advice

I have tried to do the C25K a few times and I can never seem to do it all the way through. I've tried to walk a little longer than 90 seconds and I just can't seem to do it. Maybe I'm giving up too quickly. I know it's going to be hard. I really want to do this. A friend of mine told me that I was running wrong. I didn't know there was a wrong way to run but I guess so. Any advice?

I was trying to run too fast at first. I felt like the last bits of jogging were going to make my heart explode. I changed it and my jog was just BARELY faster than my walk the rest of first week, and I did four days instead of three (that first one was the too fast one that nearly killed me). Now in my second week I had Slightly increased my speed and it is 3x easier than week 1.0

Thank you. Maybe I'll start out a little slower then. I walk A LOT and I mean I push it sometimes when I probably shouldn't. So I figured it should be not easy but not as hard as it would be if I never did anything. But was I wrong.0
