Hello there! I am new and excited since I have started using this application on my phone. I also am very surprised of how many calories everything has. I have been doing really good for 2 weeks. Today I decided to go get a starbucks and WHOA! I didnt check what my best option would be and was surprised that a breve latte (venti) has 701 calories!! yes 701!!!!!!!!!!! ooops!
anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself! Lets lose some pounds!

    Hey girl I'm from Texas too, Dallas as a matter of fact. I also recently joined (last month). So far I have found MFP and its members have been very inspiring and knowledgable. You'll do great. We all here for one another. Good luck.

    Hey! I'm from Texas as well- Dallas area. I totally understand the coffee thing. I went grocery shopping, but I actually checked calories and other nutritional information for the food. It's insane. Also, 1 pouch of ranch dressing is 250 calories. I know people said that salad dressing is terrible, but I can't believe that 1 tiny pouch packs such a punch.

    welcome from rhode island! Yes it is quite surprising how many calories are in some of the stuff we are used to. But it gets easier. Good luck on your journey!
