How do people do it?

How in the world do people just sit around all day? I'm normally a fairly active person. Yesterday, I hurt my knee and have spent several hours today on the couch, icing it to reduce the swelling. I know some people spend hours each day watching tv. Not sure how they do it! I'm off to find a good book to read.

Maybe a good book on knee repair by Dr. Patella.

LoL I threw my back out a few months ago, had to lie flat on the floor for a few days. I love to sleep, but that was a bit much for me even....

I work from home so I sit at my computer a lot, but I can't stand laying around all day. Makes me feel really bad. My last pregnancy I had to be on rest a lot due to a placenta issue. I thought I was going to die. It was tough. I think that some people who do lay around a lot don't realize that they would feel better if they got up and moved. They think they need to continue to lay around cause they don't feel well. I try to tell my Mother this all the time. Perhaps it's the laying around that is making you feel so bad.

I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I'm a teachers aid sub for behavioral/special education students... so I'm on my feet all day either taking on someone on a break, running errands etc.. and now that I'm on spring break, all I want to do is sit.. and sit and sit some more.. but alas I have errands to run and clothes to buy and places to see so that hasn't happened!
  • I can't stand it. On the weekends, my husband likes to lie in bed (still in pj's at noon) and watch full movies and flipping through sports- often falls asleep while doing so. I just grumble at him and move on to the next thing that needs to be done (fence repair, weed pulling, rose sniffing, etc.). His routine feels very flu-like to me! Blechhh.

He does manage to do pull-ups and push-ups most mornings, jog a couple times a week and play pickup basketball on the weekends, so he's not a total bed potato.

    Still irks me. >:P
  • All I do for the entire day is nothing....I watch TV and veg out on the computer while i'm not at school.

I don't get how people can be active and exercising all day. I wish I was like y'all. i don't know how you do it and i wish i could.

I keep hand weights beside me while vegging with the kids, so I break those out and exercise while being lazy.

I do this too while working. I have my small hand weights at my desk and off and on do some sets.
