Ive taken some suggestions, but really not sure how to go about determining the right ratio. Im being told that to lose fat, I need to increase my protein and decrease my carbs. Im so new to this, I dont know much of what Im doing. Im just trying to eat smaller portions and exercise more.
Anyone have suggestions or direct me where to go to find out how to determine my ratio?
Thanks,
Tom

It depends on what you do. If you do a ton of cardio, you may have trouble with a low Carb diet. My doctor recommended, for what I do, to just try to get a fairly equal split. I'm doing 40% Carb, 30% fat and 30% protein. I'm not a fan of heavy cardio. I just hate doing it, but I do like the weights.0

Honestly the ratio just seems like a bunch of broscience to me. I run over 15 miles a week I stay under 100g of carbs per day and don't have any issues.0

Im doing 40/30/30 right now. I'm doing 30-40 mins of cardio every other day and on the off days, I do a 20 minute walk.
Thanks for the responses!0 -
I'm on 40C, 40F, 40P too.
the only one I really worry about is the protein, as I am trying to keep it at 1g protein per lb of lean body weight. (apprx 100g)0
